Ahead of France’s Six Nations title defence, here’s a breakdown of everything you need to know, including who has made the squad, the fixtures and how to watch the matches.

Les Bleus have three home fixtures this year, with two further matches away from home.

Fabien Galthie’s men begin their defence at home against Ireland in the tournament’s opener on Thursday, 5 February, in order to avoid a clash with the Winter Olympics’ Opening ceremony.

Round Two sees France visit the iconic Principality Stadium in Cardiff before they host Italy in Lille.

Murrayfield then awaits Galthie’s charges before they conclude their campaign back at home for Le Crunch, as they host England at the Stade de France.

In his first squad announcement for the tournament, Galthie has made a host of bold decisions, dropping the experienced trio of Gregory Alldritt, Damian Penaud and Gael Fickou.

However, they been bolstered by the return of captain Antoine Dupont, who missed the majority of 2025 after sustaining a season-ending injury during the Six Nations clash against Ireland.

France’s matches will be broadcast on the BBC and ITV Sport in the United Kingdom, as well as Virgin Media and RTE Sport in Ireland.

Meanwhile, France Télévisions will show the first and last of Les Bleus’ games, with TF1 broadcasting the three matches in between.
