Nonu the greatest
Nonu only arrived at the Sharks a week ago and was primarily employed to mentor and develop their younger players, but with multiple injuries in the squad, his expertise was needed on the field.
Some critics argued that Nonu’s inclusion in this match actually hindered the development of those he had come in to help, but head coach JP Piertersen insisted: βThis is our strongest team.”
He added: “It’s great he’s here with us and giving our young boys just a feel of what the All Blacks may give to them. He’s slotted in like he was here for a long time and the boys love him.
βIt’s going to be an emotional game for Ma’a because it’s the first time he’s playing against the All Blacks. It’ll be awesome to see tomorrow.β
