The Sharks host the All Blacks in Durban on Tuesday.
Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry tour continues on Tuesday as the All Blacks take on their second South African club opposition, the Sharks, at Kings Park in Durban.
After overcoming the Stormers 38-21 in Cape Town last Friday, Dave Rennie’s touring side’s next assignment is facing JP Pietersen’s men in difficult weather conditions.
Indeed, torrential rain is forecast and has been unrelenting in the past 24 hours, with thunder and lightning forecast, which one hopes won’t impact the contest too much.
The Sharks are missing a whole host of their Springboks who were on duty in Argentina last weekend, whilst injuries have also resulted in a depleted squad being named.
Meanwhile, the All Blacks are bolstered by several of their first-team stars from the Nations Championship as they strive to go two from two on this Greatest Rivalry tour.
Coming into the side for the game are Damian McKenzie, Quinn Tupaea, Jordie Barrett, Ruben Love, Luke Jacobson, Tupou Vaa’i, Josh Lord and Ethan de Groot. There are also starts for wings Fehi Fineanganofo and Caleb Clarke, scrum-half Kyle Preston, number eight Wallace Sititi, lock Sam Darry, prop Fletcher Newell and hooker Asafo Aumua.
Jacobson will captain Rennie’s All Blacks for the first time while Nick Hatton is the Sharks skipper in a game that’s predicted to be one-sided according to the bookmakers.

TV viewers in South Africa can watch via Supersport while New Zealanders can catch it on Sky Sport or Sky Sport Now. Those in the UK and Ireland will find it on Sky Sports, while Australians can check it out on Stan Sport or Nine Sport, the USA RugbyPass TV, Canada Premier Sports, Japan WOWOW, and Central/South America and Caribbean ESPN Sur.
The match kicks off at 19:00 local time in South Africa, which is 18:00 in the UK and Ireland, while it is an early start for those based in New Zealand, with it being 05:00.
England’s Matthew Carley will referee the action, and he’s joined by countryman Karl Dickson and Hollie Davidson (Scotland) on the sideline, with Mike Adamson TMO.
