Adam joined Planet Rugby in 2005 whilst studying Sports Journalism at Leeds Trinity University. He provided match commentaries over weekends and after graduating, his position became part-time before a full-time job opened up at the website’s then Cape Town base. After four enjoyable years in South Africa that included covering the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand, he moved back home to England and became Editor in 2017. Not just a rugby union supporter, Adam also follows local side St Helens in rugby league and is a keen Liverpool FC fan, enjoying the European and later Premier League glory in his teens, 20s and 30s. But it’s memories of Jonah Lomu in 1995, Scott Gibbs in 1997 and Jonny Wilkinson in 2003 that saw him fall in love with the sport in a relationship that continues to this day.
