Six Nations results: Red Roses and France set up ‘mouth-watering’ Grand Slam decider after ‘thumping’ wins
France and England have taken the Grand Slam race into the final round with wins
The penultimate round of the 2026 Women’s Six Nations yet again delivered some fantastic rugby, as the Red Roses, France and Ireland all secured bonus-point wins.
Italy 33-61 Red Roses
The Red Roses continued their quest for a Grand Slam with a thumping bonus point win over Italy, which also keeps them top of the standings heading into the final round.
Marlie Packer’s collection of four tries alongside a brace from Amy Cokayne and other scores from Helena Rowland, Mia Venner and Abi Burton were enough to take John Mitchell’s side to yet another victory.
But, they didn’t have it all their own way as Italy crossed for five of their own tries – the most the Red Roses have conceded this Championship.
Things got off to a flying start for the reigning world champions, hitting Italy with a four-try flurry inside 14 minutes and later taking a 40-19 lead into half-time.
The second-half was certainly a more even contest, but the damage had already been done earlier in the day as the Red Roses went on to claim a resounding 61-33 win come the full-time whistle.
Scotland 28-69 France
Not to be outdone by their title rivals, France also secured a dominant victory to take the title race into the final round.
France were in rampant touch against fifth-placed Scotland, with Siobhan Soqeta’s and Léa Champon’s braces contributing to an 11-try rout, but the hosts did manage to secure a crucial bonus point in their quest to avoid the Wooden Spoon.
Like their title rivals, France got off to a fast start with a try in the opening minute, and later went onto build a substantial 31-14 lead by half-time. They again found their scoring form in the second-half, too, adding a further 38 points to their tally compared to Scotland’s 14, helping set up a mouth-watering Grand Slam decider on home soil next weekend.
Ireland 33-12 Wales
The women from the Emerald Isle continued their strong campaign with a 33-12 win over Wales, helping put a bit of breathing room between themselves and Italy in the table.

Braces from Aoife Wafer and Brittany Hogan, alongside another score from Béibhinn Parsons, were enough to power the hosts to victory at the Affidea Stadium, but Wales did again show a competitive edge with two tries from Georgia Evans and Jasmine Joyce.
The bonus point was enough to keep Ireland third in the table heading into the final round, as they seek their best finish to a Six Nations campaign since 2020.
