British and Irish Lions player reactions as Bears go ‘ballistic’ and Saints flog Henry Pollock

British and Irish Lions squad announcement reactions from Northampton and Bristol Bears.
It’s one of the most memorable days in so many British and Irish players’ careers as they eagerly await for their names to be called out for the Lions tour.
As per usual, this produces epic reaction videos from players across the world as they celebrate with their loved ones or team-mates.
We picked out some of the best reactions so you don’t have to go looking for them!
British and Irish Lions players react
First up, we head to France, where Blair Kinghorn was sitting at home waiting for his name to be read out. The Toulouse back missed his side’s Investec Champions Cup semi-final with a knee injury but is expected back very soon.
Meanwhile, Wales captain Jac Morgan was one of only two Welsh players to be named in the Lions squad and he found out about his selection while en route to Durban from Johannesburg.
The flanker is set to feature for the Ospreys on Friday night in the United Rugby Championship clash with the Sharks.
Joining Morgan on the plane to Australia is fellow countryman Tomos Williams who watched the announcement with his Gloucester club-mates.
The Welsh skipper was not the only player travelling when the squad was named as Sale Sharks duo Luke Cowan-Dickie and Tom Curry heard their names being called out on the team bus.

Speaking of the Tigers, they too had a player included in the squad with lock Ollie Chessum being the second name that was read out by Ieuan Evans.
Meanwhile, Northampton Saints had the joint-second most players named in the British and Irish Lions squad, including the youngest member, Henry Pollock.
The players from the East Midlands club watched the announcement together.
Staying in the Premiership and the Bristol Bears squad went ballistic when Ellis Genge’s name was read out.

Finally, Leinster had the most inclusions in the squad and the club’s social media team spoke to Andrew Porter moments after his name was read out.
“I’m so proud to represent my club, my country and my family.” 💙
