Women’s Six Nations wrap: England claim Gland Slam

England claimed the Grand slam as well as the Six Nations title after beating Ireland in Dublin while there were wins for Scotland and France as well.

Scotland 14-12 Italy

Scotland claimed a 14-12 win over Italy in the final round of the tournament.

Scotland and Italy both scored two tries but the difference between them was hooker Lana Skeldon who got both of her conversions whereas Italy missed theirs.

Italy took the early lead when hooker Melissa Bettoni scored two early tries in the first 20 minutes which looked as though they might have already wrapped up the game if they kept their momentum.

Scotland full-back Chloe Rollie had other ideas and scored two just before the end of the first half to make the score 14-12. The score stayed that way for the rest of the game.

Scotland leap frog Wales to finish in fourth place on the points table while Italy cop the wooden spoon after not winning a single game.

England 34-7 Ireland

England claimed the Grandslam after beating Ireland 34-7 in Dublin.

The Roses outplayed their rivals after scoring five tries to Ireland's one. England dominated proceedings after winger Amy Wilson-Hardy scored in the 16th minute. 

The visitor's other tries came through Emily Scarratt, Amy Cokayne, Laura Keates and Lydia Thompson.

Ireland would score their first points of the game in the 68th minute through a try from hooker Leah Lyons.

England finishes on top of the table with 27 points after winning every single game this competition while Ireland finishes second after England being their first loss.

France 39-19 Wales

France finished off their Six Nations with a 39-19 win over Wales in Brive.

French full-back Jessy Tremouliere starred in the game after scoring 19 points in her side's win. France scored five tries through Caroline Ladagnous, Caroline Boujard, Lise Arricastre and Audrey Forlani.

Wales scored three tries themselves including a brace from prop Amy Evans but it was enough to unseat the French at home.

France now finishes third on the overall table while Wales drop to fifth after the loss.
