Wasps wait on injured trio

Wasps director of rugby Dai Young is playing a waiting game over the fitness of flanker James Haskell ahead of their clash with Leinster.

The England international is currently suffering with a dead leg, but Young is “pretty positive” that the back-row will recover in time.

In other injury news, Wasps are also waiting on concussed wing Willie le Roux while centre Alapati Leuia is also a doubt for Dublin.

“James is still going through some rehab at the minute,” Young told the Coventry Telegraph ahead of their European quarter-final.

“He’s got a dead leg and he’s picked up a bit of a back spasm, but apart from that he’s alright.

“He’s limping about out there in training, and is a bit frustrated about getting injured again playing for Wasps, but he’s pretty confident that he’ll be OK.

“Willie le Roux is going through the standard return-to-play protocol, and Alapati picked up a head knock in the last couple of minutes as well, so he’s got to go through it as well.

“Both of them are fine, both are two days into the protocol and looking pretty good, but as you know it’s a five or six-day standard protocol so it’s going to go right until the wire.

“We’re not really going to know properly if they’re fit probably until Friday, but it’s looking pretty positive.”
