Wasps are playing a waiting game in the hope that Phil Vickery will be fit for Saturday's Guinness Premiership Final against Wasps.

The England and Wasps captain injured his knee against Sale in April and has been out of action ever since.

However Wasps are adopting a 'wait and see' attitude with regards to his fitness as they prepare to bring their season to a close.

“He's doing some light training. It's still early days,” admitted Wasps Director of Rugby Ian McGeechan.

Wasps will announce their team for the final – the last match of Lawrence Dallaglio's career – on Friday.
