Wasps prop released from contract

Wasps have announced that 23-year-old prop Alex Lundberg has been released from his contract at the club with immediate effect.

The club revealed that the decision came following a request from the front-rower, who has suffered a number of injuries in recent seasons.

Lundberg started playing with Wasps amateurs as a six-year-old and worked his way through the age groups before signing as an academy professional in 2013. He also represented England U20s during the 2014 Six Nations and World Cup.

"He will now consider his options, prior to confirming his next move. Everyone at Wasps wishes Alex well with his future career," said the club.
