Waratahs coach Ewen McKenzie says the wait is over now it's time to play Super Rugby.

This Saturday the Waratahs face the Hurricanes at the Sydney Football Stadium and the 'Tahs line-up will be confirmed on Tuesday.

“We've had a good look at our trials and taken some injuries into account so we should be in position to name a strong side for the Canes,” McKenzie said.

“Like us the 'Canes are coming off a big win over the Brumbies. We both scored a lot of second half tries so this first up clash should be an entertaining one.

“We're actually playing the ELVs [Experimental Law Variations] differently but getting points and results.”

The only injury concern for the Waratahs was that of Sam Norton-Knight, who is struggling with a thigh injury.

Lote Tuqiri, who underwent surgery a few weeks ago, should be ready to face the Hurricanes.

“Sam's taking a little longer to get back to one hundred per cent but we don't want rush him.

“The good news is that Lote is pretty pumped up and ready to go so we'll see on Tuesday.”

The Waratahs will be looking to improve on last season's campaign, where they finished a disappointing 13th.
