It’s that time again for our Video of the Week, bringing you standout footage you may like. Today, we look back to June 2018 and the third Test between South Africa and England.
This game may not seem that significant, with the series already in the bag for the Springboks, but it was the last time Danny Cipriani and Joe Marler played for England, with the former producing a neat kick through for Jonny May to seal the win.
Marler announced his international retirement in September while Cipriani simply hasn’t been favoured by Eddie Jones, but both have come back into the reckoning ahead of the World Cup.
They are, judging by their recent omissions, surprise inclusions, but they now have a chance of playing a significant part in Japan in two months’ time.
