Edinburgh will be without props Boan Venter and Luan de Bruin for the remainder of their United Rugby Championship season.

The two front-rowers, who have both played for the Cheetahs in the past, have had “successful surgeries”, according to the Scottish side on Monday.

Both South African props were injured in Edinburgh‘s triumph over Pau in Round Five of the European Challenge Cup at the DAM Health Stadium.

Venter sustained a knee problem while De Bruin, on just his eighth appearance since joining the club from Leicester, suffered a hamstring injury.
