Taute ruled out for six months

Munster have confirmed that South African centre Jaco Taute will be sidelined for six months to undergo surgery to repair knee ligament damage.

Taute, who has made 31 appearances for the region since joining at the beginning of 2016, sustained the injury in the 39-19 PRO14 victory over Cardiff Blues on Saturday.

The 26-year-old's injury is a major blow for Munster's season hopes who take on arch rivals Leinster this coming Saturday.
