Super Rugby: Team of Round 6

After a breathtaking weekend of Super Rugby action, it's come that time to trawl through the stand-out performers of Round Six.
After a breathtaking weekend of Super Rugby action, it's come that difficult time to trawl through the stand-out performers of Round Six.
Following the Crusaders' electric performance at Twickenham on Sunday, it's no surprise Todd Blackadder's men make up the majority of this week's selections.
But lets not take anything away from the rest of the teams in action over the weekend where the Stormers thumped the Force, the Rebels shocked the Hurricanes and the Reds brought the Cheetahs back down to earth.
15 Israel Dagg (Crusaders): Another admirable job at the back for the Crusaders sees Dagg keep his place for the third week in a row.
14 Rod Davies (Reds): Blink and you'll miss him – which is exactly what the Cheetahs did!
13 Jaques Fourie (Stormers): Much better from the Bok centre, who – after swapping bench duty with Juan de Jongh – took a while to find his groove this season. But his two barnstorming tries signaled he's back with a bang.
12 Sonny Bill Williams (Crusaders): Another dazzling performance from the Crusaders' class act, who was untouchable in the first half and simply outstanding throughout. And to think he's only had five games of Super Rugby – makes you wonder what more he is capable of…
11 Zac Guildford (Crusaders): A welcome return to action for the Crusaders speedster who started his first match this season. Guildford was everywhere whilst looking for work and got rewarded with a try and setting up another two. Simply brilliant.
10 Dan Carter (Crusaders): Peter Grant came knocking with another solid display at 10, but the vision, precision and sheer brilliance of Carter kicked the door down. Carter scored a try and amassed 17 points by slotting all seven shots at goal, before limping off with his tender hamstring.
9 Nick Phipps (Rebels): An eye-catching outing from the former Aussie Sevens maestro, who was a constant thorn in the Hurricanes' side on attack and defence.
8 Duane Vermeulen (Stormers): Rolled up his sleeves and got stuck into the Force from kick-off – a tireless effort from the Stormers number eight who has to surely be considered for a place in South Africa's World Cup squad later this year.
7 Beau Robinson (Reds): Faced a tough battle against last week's player of the week, Heinrich Brussow, but emerged on top thanks to a masterclass performance in Brisbane.
6 Willem Alberts (Sharks): He has seven on his back, but the openside and blindside numbers are swapped around in South Africa. Either way, Alberts was immense with some powerful runs and commited tackling in a losing Sharks side.
5 Andries Bekker (Stormers): The Stormers' man-mountain had another big match – in the tight and the loose. Sam Whitelock (Crusaders) and Franco van der Merwe (Lions) came close, but Bekker's performance was quite literally head and shoulders above the rest.
4 Alister Campbell (Rebels): Not often you get a lock bagging a brace. But two five-pointers aside, Campbell toiled hard and took his try-scoring chances well.
3 Greg Somerville (Rebels): The former All Blacks prop got through a mountain of work for the Rebels, and was the driving force behind two of the three close-range tries scored.
2 Deon Fourie (Stormers): Beats off some strong competition from the Rebels' Ged Robinson, but Fourie's double – the second one was a beauty – coupled with ferocious defending gets him the nod.
1 Wyatt Crockett (Crusaders): Made an absolute mess of the Sharks scrum.
