Sunday Social: The PNC, Humble Herschel and high fives
It is time for Planet Rugby’s Sunday Social, your quirky recap of the serious and not so serious talking points from the week’s action.
We start with the main games from Saturday as the Pacific Nations Cup continued. It was an outstanding day for Japan, who went two from two with a stunning 41-7 victory over Tonga, and they showed their quality with this outstanding try.

Fiji also secured a win by thrashing Canada in Suva. It was tight at the break but their flair was in evidence in the second period as the immensely talented Josua Tuisova powered away to score.

The Rugby Championship has taken a break but the South Africans are still revelling in their team’s improvement over recent times. One of the players to capture the hearts of the nation is scrum-half Herschel Jantjies and you can see why from this video.

Onto the Currie Cup and the Golden Lions came from 19-0 behind to beat the Free State Cheetahs 24-22, and number eight Hacjivah Dayimani was so pumped he gave referee Jaco Peyper a high five in this classic and very funny clip.
