Sunday Social: FaceApp, a dream debut and respect
It is time for Planet Rugby’s Sunday Social, your quirky recap of the serious and not so serious talking points from the past week’s action.
Like it or loathe it, FaceApp dominated the early to mid part of the week and rugby wasn’t shy in joining in. We kick off with Harlequins.

Rugby World Cup also pitched in as they featured Scotland star Stuart Hogg, Italy’s Sergio Parisse and New Zealand captain Kieran Read.

Wales took it to another level with Hadleigh Parkes, Alun Wyn Jones and Dan Biggar pictured but, of course, Gavin Henson still looks well.

Finally we end this section with Premiership Rugby and their tweet that featured Owen Farrell, Jack Nowell, Danny Cipriani and Danny Care.
We ran a couple of #GallagherPrem legends through the #FaceApp – which ones will we see still playing at this age? 😂

To the action and it was a week to remember for Bok newbie Herschel Jantjies. However, there was a moment to forget at the team photo.

Embarrassment turned into immense pride on the field though as Jantjies scored two tries and was named man-of-the-match against Australia.

Before that game there was a clash in Rotorua, which saw Fiji’s Cibi followed by the Maori All Blacks’ Timatanga. While they were a great pre-match watch, many on social media did question whether the latter showed the Cibi sufficient respect as the hosts appeared to not face it down.

On the flipside of that a Major League Rugby tweet on Friday was something special and is fully deserving of a place on the Sunday Social.

Last but not least, as international rugby builds ahead of the Rugby World Cup, this caught our eye. Check out this rice field in Gyoda.
