Spedding reflects on disappointing loss

Clermont full-back Scott Spedding was massively disappointed after his side suffered a third European final defeat on Saturday to Saracens.
The French side went down 28-17 to their opponents, who made it back-to-back Champions Cup titles in an enthralling game in Edinburgh.
Afterwards Spedding was understandably upset to lose another final but was honest enough to give credit to Saracens for their showing.
"It's massively disappointing," he told BT Sport following another tough defeat. "We know the history, that's our third final in the competition, and we were desperate to do it for our fans who have been so loyal to us over the years.
"We came up against a massive Saracens side who have proved their worth over the last few years. We're disappointed but all credit to Saracens."
He added: "We gave our all out there. We might have left it a bit late in the first half to start playing but they're such a big side. We took wave after wave of their guys and in the end we couldn't keep them out.
"I'm really proud of our effort in the second half but a game like this is won on little things and we made a couple of errors at vital times and they capitalised."
