Rugby League superstar Sonny Bill Williams has reportedly quit the thirteen-man game in a French-bound code switch to Toulon.
Williams, whose current contract with NRL side the Bulldogs runs until 2012, appears to have walked out on the side and has flown to Europe where he will allegedly pen a big-money deal with the big-spending French side.
And Bulldogs boss Todd Greenburg revealed that Williams's manager Khoder Nasser had confirmed the player's actions.
“I've just got off the phone to Sonny's manager Khoder Nasser and he has confirmed to me that Sonny has left the country,” Greenburg said, speaking to ABC Radio.
“Quite simply, if Sonny intends to play overseas, we'll be looking to take out an injunction which will effectively stop him playing in France, England or anywhere else he intends to do it.
“I suggest at this early stage that you are probably right [regarding court action over Williams' move] but we are going to have to review all our options to make sure that the Bulldogs are well covered.”
