Scarlets sweating on James Davies scan
Scarlets and Wales flanker James Davies will undergo a scan to ascertain the extent of a knee injury sustained in the 38-29 PRO14 victory over Benetton on Saturday.
Scarlets head coach Wayne Pivac confirmed that Davies will definitely miss this Saturday’s trip to Connacht as a result of the injury.
“We are not sure in terms of time wise how long he will be out for and we will know more once he has seen the specialist,” Pivac told BBC.
“He is definitely out for this weekend and we will know more shortly.”
Davies’ brother, Jonathan, is still two weeks away from returning from a hamstring injury, while prop Rob Evans and loose forward Josh MacLeod are also both a fortnight away.
However, the Llanelli side have been boosted with the news that Uzair Cassiem and Rhys Patchell should both be fit, the latter only a slight doubt as he continues to undergo concussion protocols.
