Springboks and Sharks wing S’bu Nkosi will further his career at the Bulls from the 2022/2023 season after it was confirmed that he will be joining the men from Pretoria.

Bulls director of rugby Jake White broke the news at Friday’s press conference for the Blue Bulls’ Currie Cup game against Griquas on Saturday and also confirmed that Madosh Tambwe will be leaving the Pretoria-based outfit to join a European club at the end of the United Rugby Championship campaign.

Top 14 outfit Bordeaux-Begles are linked with Tambwe’s services.

Nkosi to arrive when Tambwe leaves

“We will finish the season first. I think his (Nkosi) deal starts when Madosh goes. So, ours is not done on the basis that he arrives early,” said White.

“When his season ends at the Sharks and they’re done and dusted, then I’m sure he’ll pack up and move across to the Bulls – or back to Joburg, where he comes from.

“There is no intention of anyone joining us before the end of the season… I’m talking about from another union in South Africa.

The only guy that’s coming in and joins us next week is (lock) Ruan Vermaak. The Japanese season is finished, so he joins us and he will be available as an extra forward from next week onwards.”
