Another busy day in the rugby union game as we look back at the action in the Six Nations and name our best XV from Round One.

It was an historic weekend for Scotland, who finally ended their Twickenham hoodoo by beating England on Saturday, and they unsurprisingly dominated our Team of the Week with eight players nominated.

The Six Nations is also discussed in  ‘Who’s hot and who’s not,’ which delves into the main talking points from the past seven days. We look at Antoine Dupont’s brilliant display, Italy’s and England’s woes, and Sale Sharks’ impressive win in the Premiership.

What’s in the news

Wales head coach Wayne Pivac says that their crucial 21-16 victory over Ireland has come at a cost after they sustained a number of injuries. Despite the win, Dan Lydiate, Tomos Williams, Johnny Williams and Hallam Amos were all forced off.

Meanwhile, in the English club game, London Irish have announced that ex-Australia prop Sekope Kepu has departed the Exiles due to personal reasons. Up north, Newcastle Falcons have agreed a new two-year deal with fellow front-rower Logovi’i Mulipola.

What’s on TV

The Six Nations continues on Saturday with England and Italy opening proceedings at Twickenham on ITV. Scotland and Wales then go head-to-head on the BBC before Ireland and France clash on Sunday.

There are also domestic matters in the northern hemisphere as the English Premiership continues on BT Sport. It starts with a huge West Country derby as bottom takes on top when Gloucester and Bristol Bears face off at Kingsholm.

Finally, two PRO14 contests have been rearranged for this weekend as Dragons host Edinburgh and Benetton visit Glasgow Warriors on Premier Sports.
