The Rugby Championship began on Saturday with New Zealand and South Africa getting their campaigns off to excellent starts and those sides are rewarded with a number of players in our Team of the Week.
That competition is also discussed in ‘who’s hot and who’s not,’ which talks about Herschel Jantjies’ impressive debut for the Springboks and another disappointing performance from the Wallabies.
What’s in the news
Danny Cipriani’s World Cup hopes have taken a significant blow after he was omitted from England’s 38-man squad for a training camp in Italy. According to the Press Association, the fly-half has not been given a reason as to why he has been left out.
Elsewhere, Taulupe Faletau has provided Wales with a huge fitness boost after recovering from a fractured forearm. The number eight is getting back to his best following two operations on the injury.
Finally, experienced hooker Agustin Creevy will miss Argentina’s encounter against Australia in the Rugby Championship after going off with a shoulder problem during their game with New Zealand at the weekend.
