Rugby Union Today: Team of the Week
Another busy day in the rugby union game as we named our best XV from the international games that took place over the weekend.
What’s on the site
The end-of-year internationals continued at the weekend and we have named our Team of the Week from the main matches that took place, with England and New Zealand particularly rewarded for an excellent Test match on Saturday.
In ‘who’s hot and who’s not,’ the November games are also featured, where we discuss Sam Underhill’s disallowed try and Wales’ victory over Australia in Cardiff – their first win against the Wallabies since 2008.
What’s in the news
Ireland were dealt a blow before their clash against world champions New Zealand with Robbie Henshaw and Conor Murray ruled out of the game because of injury.
Meanwhile, the All Blacks will be without Sonny Bill Williams for the match in Dublin after the centre was forced to come off at Twickenham because of a shoulder issue sustained in the first half.
Elsewhere, there was an interesting story in Scotland with Gary Graham, who was part of England’s wider Six Nations squad earlier this year, being called up by Gregor Townsend.

Stuart Hogg posted this message following the announcement of his impending departure from Glasgow Warriors. After nine years with the club, the Scotland full-back will leave at the end of the season and is rumoured to be signing for Exeter Chiefs.
Incredibly tough decision to be moving on from @GlasgowWarriors. It’s a decision that I’ve not taken lightly & one that has taken a long time to make. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time in Glasgow, a third of my life, playing for a club I love.
