Another busy day in the rugby union game as we publish our Autumn Nations Cup Team of the Week, Five takeaways from the round and much more, including Who’s hot and who’s not and reaction from the weekend’s internationals.

What’s on the site

Our Team of the Week is dominated by the English forwards after their showing against Ireland while the takeaways reviews the weekend’s action.

Hot and Not is here to hail or criticise teams and players from international and club rugby plus there’s the highlights from the Premiership games.

Elsewhere, England head coach Eddie Jones has praised in-form wing Jonny May as being the most professional player he has ever worked with.

What’s in the news

Bath back Anthony Watson and Exeter hooker Luke Cowan-Dickie have been recalled to England’s 35-man squad ahead of their game with Wales.

Meanwhile, spectators are poised to return to sports venues next month as coronavirus restrictions are eased in areas with lower infection rates.

We enjoyed this moment of on-the-job training in respecting the referee as Sergio Parisse and Ma’a Nonu gave Theo Dacary a telling off. Bravo.

What’s on TV

The second round of the Premiership kicks off with Newcastle Falcons v Sale Sharks on BT Sport, who show all of that competition over the weekend. Elsewhere in the domestic game there is PRO14 on Premier Sports, starting on Saturday with Connacht v Ospreys.

The Autumn Nations Cup continues on Saturday with Wales v England before France host Italy, both on Amazon Prime Video Sport. Sunday sees Ireland meet Georgia on Channel 4. In the Tri Nations on Saturday, Argentina face a hurting New Zealand on Sky Sports.
