Rugby Union Today: Super Rugby team news and previews
Another busy day in the rugby union game we as begin looking ahead to the Super Rugby action this weekend, which sees some big derby games.
What’s on the site
The Crusaders host the Highlanders in Round 18 of Super Rugby and we have previewed the game as the defending champions attempt to confirm top spot in the New Zealand Conference.
Reds v Rebels then follows that contest where the visitors will look to put pressure on the Waratahs, who reside at the summit of the Australian division.
What’s in the news
Plenty of milestones will be reached in Super Ruby this weekend where Brad Shields will play his 100th game, while Dillyn Leyds brings up his 50th cap.
Elsewhere, the Sunwolves rotate a number of players for their game with the Waratahs while the Bulls – the team the Japanese outfit defeated last week – surprisingly keep faith with the same XV.
In the northern hemisphere, Worcester Warriors have confirmed their squad for the upcoming campaign, which includes new signing Farai Mudariki.

There are some other big games this weekend with the Reds v Rebels and Waratahs v Sunwolves potentially having significant ramifications in the Australian Conference.
