Another busy day in the rugby union game as we roll out our Six Nations previews ahead of Round Four while the Super Rugby action kicks off.

What’s on the site

We bring you our previews for Scotland versus Wales, England against Italy and Ireland’s clash with France which include predictions. Ireland have made seven changes to their side for Sunday’s game in Dublin.

Meanwhile, there were Super Rugby wins for the Hurricanes and Rebels on Friday as both won by three points on Friday.

Elsewhere, Rugby Australia refuted claims that the Wallabies were investigated for match fixing after losing a Test they were favoured to win “several years ago”, following a report in the Sydney Morning Herald.

What’s in the news

Six Nations officials will attend a meeting in Dublin about the proposed new Nations Championship with an “open mind”.

England second-row Maro Itoje will not make a dramatic return to the squad to face Italy as he has not recovered in time.

What’s on TV

The Six Nations returns this weekend with the BBC showing the opening game of Round Four between Scotland and Wales. England v Italy and Ireland v France then follow and they will be televised on ITV.

Despite that annual competition restarting, the Premiership continues with BT Sport airing Bath v Saracens and Harlequins v Gloucester.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports will broadcast all the Super Rugby encounters which take place this weekend, starting with the Hurricanes taking on the Highlanders in an all-New Zealand clash.
