Another busy day in the rugby union game as Loose Pass arrives while there’s potentially trouble brewing for the Scottish Rugby Union following their comments before their game against Japan.

Loose Pass is concerning itself with responsibility for: organisation, head tackles, injury assessments and the future of rugby.

Rugby World Cup tournament director Alan Gilpin has said World Rugby will convene a hearing of its independent disputes committee relating to Scotland’s recent comments regarding their fixture against Japan.

Elsewhere, England are set to have number eight Billy Vunipola available after his ankle injury, according to John Mitchell. The match officials for this weekend’s quarter-finals in Japan have also been confirmed.

Away from the global tournament, the Premiership finally kicks off in England and BT Sport will begin proceedings with the West Country derby between local rivals Bristol Bears and Bath at Ashton Gate.
