Another busy day in the rugby union game as Loose Pass returns to look at how rugby continues to evolve by using different ideas and techniques.
What’s on the site
England head coach Eddie Jones started a debate last week by suggesting that Jack Nowell could play as a flanker and Loose Pass has used that as the basis for this week’s article, looking at how rugby is changing through innovative ideas.
The Six Nations teams will no doubt hope to be inventive when the tournament starts in early February and England have been aided by the return of Jonathan Joseph. However, Ireland have lost their second lock in as many days, with Iain Henderson suffering a finger injury.
What’s in the news
Wales head coach Warren Gatland says that there is “nothing concrete” lined up when the New Zealander leaves his role after the 2019 World Cup in Japan.
Elsewhere, Connacht have announced that a trio of coaches have committed their futures to the province, where they will remain under the guidance of boss Andy Friend.
Finally, Ulster have banned a supporter from the Kingspan Stadium for life after verbally abusing Ireland international Simon Zebo during their match against Racing 92 in the Champions Cup.
What’s on social media
Jacob Stockdale continues to produce, whether at international or provincial level, and this was another lovely piece of skill from the wing.
