Another busy day in the rugby union game as Loose Pass is here to discuss player welfare plus there’s a significant boost for Saracens as England and British & Irish Lions loosehead prop Mako Vunipola has signed a new contract at the club.

Loose Pass addresses the elephant in the room regarding how players will cope with the workload required of them when rugby resumes in England.

However, international Vunipola won’t be playing in the Premiership next term as he stands by Sarries ahead of life in the Championship in 2020/21.

Elsewhere, Wasps have announced that 15 players have re-signed with the club while Richard Kahui has signed for Western Force in Super Rugby AU.

Irish players earning more than 25,000 euros have agreed to take a pay reduction and deferral in the second half of 2020 after a deal was reached.

Meanwhile, London Irish have made an arrangement with domestic rivals Harlequins to play their home games at The Stoop for the rest of 2020/21.
