Another busy day in the rugby union game as Loose Pass returned to Planet Rugby to take a look at Rob Horne’s testimonial game.

What’s on the site

Northampton Saints’ clash with Leicester Tigers this weekend will double up as a testimonial for former Wallaby centre Rob Horne, who was forced to retire from the sport after a freak collision in the same match last season. Loose Pass has praised the initiative and also delved into two other topics, looking at Australia’s issues and Alex Goode’s continued omission from the England squad.

Elsewhere, it has been revealed that a movie is to be made about Japan’s momentous victory over South Africa in the 2015 World Cup. It will be called ‘The Brighton Miracle’ and will be directed by Australian Max Mannix, with filming set to begin next year.

It is the final round of the Rugby Championship this weekend and both Codie Taylor and Handre Pollard have given their thoughts on the upcoming South Africa v New Zealand contest.

Meanwhile, Australia boss Michael Cheika is set to alter his backline for their clash against Argentina in Salta with Kurtley Beale reportedly ousted from the fly-half position.

The biggest club tournament in Europe starts next week and Wednesday was the official 2018/19 launch. It took place in Newcastle with St James’ Park hosting the final of both the Champions Cup and Challenge Cup next May.

Sky Sports will be showing Round Six of the Rugby Championship which sees South Africa host New Zealand before Argentina face Australia. The same network also televises the Mitre 10 Cup and Top 14.

BT Sport will show four Premiership games this weekend with Bath v Exeter Chiefs kicking things off on Friday at the Rec. Finally Premier Sports will again bring you all of the PRO14 action this weekend.
