Another busy day in the rugby union game as we look back to the Leinster team that dominated the Heineken Cup between 2009 and 2012.

After several seasons of frustration in the Heineken Cup, Leinster finally secured their first title in 2009, which was the catalyst for a stunning run in Europe’s top tier competition. We look back to the Irish province’s glory days as they won the tournament three times in four years.

What’s in the news
Exeter Chiefs boss Rob Baxter has backed the idea of summer rugby after all sport was suspended due to Covid-19. It is unknown when, or indeed if, the Premiership will restart, but Baxter believes that the league could be played later in the year.
Meanwhile, Italy flanker Maxime Mbanda is using his enforced break to volunteer as an ambulance driver during the coronavirus crisis.
Finally, Australia’s players appear to have agreed to a pay cut, while Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend is taking a wage deferral.
