Another busy day in the rugby union game as we look back to the Wasps team that dominated the Premiership, and the potential return of the PRO14.
What’s on the site
We continue our feature of looking at some of the best teams to have played the sport and this week it is the turn of Wasps, who claimed four Premiership titles and two Heineken Cups between 2002 and 2008.
Elsewhere, the PRO14 are hoping to restart their league campaign in late-August having announced their plans for the coming months. It will be an abbreviated competition with just two more rounds before the play-offs take place.
What’s in the news
Chris Robshaw will become the latest star to cross the Atlantic and play in Major League Rugby after signing a deal with San Diego Legion. The former England flanker has agreed a short-term contract to remain at Harlequins until the current campaign is completed and will then head to the United States.
Finally, the teams were announced for the Chiefs’ game against the Blues, with Aaron Cruden starting at 10 for the hosts while the Aucklanders have named a powerful back-row, which includes Akira Ioane, Dalton Papalii and Hoskins Sotutu.
