Another busy day in the rugby union game as our features writer, James While, selects our Premiership Team of the Season after an extended campaign which lasted 372 days.

What’s on the site

After being crowned Premiership champions for the second time, it’s hardly surprising that Exeter Chiefs lead the way with five representatives in our Team of the Season. Bath and fellow finalists Wasps are next best with three players each in our side.

Exeter’s triumph in the Premiership final is also discussed in ‘Who’s hot and who’s not,’ which delves into the main talking points from the past seven days. We also look at Ireland’s Six Nations victory over Italy, Finn Russell’s return to Test action and the Barbarians players who breached Covid-19 protocols.

Meanwhile, Round Three’s PRO14 action concludes at Thomond Park where Munster host Cardiff Blues and Premier Sports will broadcast that match as well as the Round Four action which starts on Sunday.
