Michael Cheika has discussed his tenure as Wallabies head coach, which ultimately ended in disappointment. They impressed in 2015, winning the Rugby Championship and reaching the World Cup final, but they were dumped out at the last-eight stage in Japan.

Meanwhile, Saracens second-row George Kruis has backed the league-wide move to reduce players’ salaries by 25 per cent. Some individuals, who are in limbo due to being out of contract at the end of the season, are considering contesting the pay cut, but Kruis believes that it is a “reasonable” offer.
