Another busy day in the rugby union game as the Super Rugby round kicks off with wins picked up by the Melbourne Rebels and Waratahs, while there’s team news from the Premiership and PRO14.

What’s on the site

The Rebels claimed a rare victory in New Zealand as they impressed in their victory over the Highlanders. The win was backed up by the Waratahs as they beat the Lions to make it a good day for Australian sides.

In the Premiership we bring you team news for Saturday and Sunday’s action across England, with the same going for the PRO14.

Elsewhere, the ongoing coronavirus outbreak will be included on the agenda when Six Nations chiefs meet in Paris next Monday.

The PRO14 have also released a press release stating that any matches postponed due to COVID-19 that cannot be re-scheduled will see both teams awarded two points and the result will be deemed a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, there is more contract news at the Dragons as former Wales hooker Mefin Davies will join them from next season.

It is the second – and final – fallow week in the Six Nations, which means focus turns to domestic matters in Europe. In the Premiership, three matches – Gloucester v Sale Sharks, Harlequins v Exeter Chiefs and Bath v Bristol Bears – will be shown live on BT Sport.

Meanwhile, five games take place in the PRO14 with Munster’s clash with Scarlets on Saturday the standout fixture on Premier Sports.

Finally, Super Rugby is on Sky Sports and the action continues on Saturday with four encounters, starting in Napier as the Hurricanes take on the Sunwolves.
