Another busy day in the rugby union game as Northampton Saints announce 19 contract extensions while there’s huge news from the World Rugby Sevens Series.

Courtney Lawes, Dan Biggar and Rory Hutchinson are among the players to have re-signed at Franklin’s Gardens in a major boost for the Premiership club.
That news came after World Rugby confirmed that this season’s men’s and women’s Sevens Series have been cancelled, with New Zealand named champions.
Elsewhere, the Crusaders will be without promising flanker Cullen Grace due to surgery while Blues back Dan Carter will be playing club rugby this weekend.

Worcester Warriors are also looking ahead to 2020/21 and have given promising fly-half Billy Searle a contract extension that keeps him at the club until 2023.
