Roelof Smit out for rest of season

The Bulls have been dealt a blow with the news that Roelof Smit suffered a season-ending injury against the Brumbies last weekend.

Smit injured his right knee and scans revealed that he has a complete Grade 3 tear of his ligament. He is expected to be out for 10-12 weeks.

Marco van Staden injured his knee and ankle in the last minute of the match. Initially, there were concerns that his knee injury was serious but it is only his ankle that is badly sprained. He should be fit after the international break.

Hanro Liebenberg, Ruan Steenkamp and Jannes Kirsten are nearing the completion of their rehabilitation and should be in contention for selection for the Sunwolves game.
