Robertson sings Mo’unga’s praises
Canterbury boss Scott Robertson singled out fly-half Richie Mo'unga for special praise after their 43-27 win over Tasman in the Mitre 10 Cup Final.
Mo'unga was in superb form in Christchurch on Saturday. The 22-year-old was rewarded with a brace of tries for his efforts and also helped set up another in a performance which earned him the official man of the match award.
"How good was Richie?" asked Robertson after the match.
"He set up one and scored a couple. He put a show on. He was outstanding."
Mo'unga downplayed his brillinat performance and was quick to credit his team-mates.
"When it came for me to do my part, I did it," he said.
"I guess with how the game was, I had to step up and run a bit."
