Retallick ruled out of Bok clash

All Black lock Brodie Retallick has been ruled out of the penultimate game of the Rugby Championship against the Springboks due to a family tragedy.

Retallick, who was rested for the All Black’s 36-10 win over Argentina, was expected to make his comeback against the Boks .

However, his wife had a miscarriage and he will be staying at home in this time of great personal bereavement.

“Brodie and his wife Niki have lost their baby boy prematurely, which is incredibly sad news,” All Blacks coach Steve Hansen said in a statement.

“We’re feeling for them at this sad time and our thoughts are with them and their families.”
