Raisuqe cited for alleged stamp

EPCR has received a citing complaint against Stade Français wing Josaia Raisuqe following his club’s Challenge Cup clash with the Ospreys.
Raisuqe is alleged to have stamped on Ospreys wing Keelan Giles in the 19th minute of the quarter-final in contravention of Law 10.4 (b).
The complaint was made by match Citing Commissioner, Alberto Recaldini (Italy). Raisuqe was shown a yellow card following the incident by referee, Matthew Carley (England), and later in the match, was issued with a red card by the referee after being shown a second yellow card.
David Martin (Ireland), Chairman, John Carroll (Ireland) and Jean-Philippe Lachaume (France) have been appointed as the independent Disciplinary Committee for the hearing which will take place in Paris on Wednesday.
Law 10.4 (b) Stamping
Under World Rugby’s Sanctions for Foul Play, Law 10.4 (b), stamping or trampling on an opponent, carries the following sanction entry points – Low End: 2 weeks; Mid-range: 6 weeks; Top end: 12 to 52 weeks.
