Ahead of Saturday’s semi-finals in Super Rugby, we are putting our head on the block and picking our winners from the two games.

The Crusaders open proceedings against the Hurricanes in an all-New Zealand clash at AMI Stadium before the Lions take on the Waratahs in Johannesburg.

SUPER RUGBY

Crusaders v Hurricanes

Preview: The Crusaders host the Hurricanes at AMI Stadium in Christchurch in what should be a titanic all-New Zealand Super Rugby semi-final.

Prediction: With a full-strength pack back, we can’t see past the defending champs. Crusaders by five.

Lions v Waratahs

Preview: The Waratahs will look to prevent the Lions from reaching the Super Rugby final for the third successive year when the teams go head-to-head at Ellis Park on Saturday.

Prediction: It is no surprise that, as the injuries have subsided, the hosts have started to play far better and they were impressive in the Qualifiers. The Waratahs did well to overcome the Highlanders but Swys de Bruin’s men should make it to a third successive final. Lions by 8.
