Predictions: Six Nations, Super Rugby, Prem, Top 14, PRO14

Round three of the Six Nations gets underway this weekend with France, Ireland and Scotland all having homeground advantage.

The big clash sees Scotland hosting Eddie Jones’ men in their Calcutta Cup duel on Saturday with both teams in confident mood following victories over France and Wales respectively.

Before that, France and the Azzurri open proceedings on Friday while Ireland and Wales will also do battle on Saturday.

There is also a full round of Super Rugby, Premiership, Top 14 and PRO14 fixtures so let’s see who will come out on top.

SIX NATIONS

France v Italy 

Preview: Both France and Italy will be hoping to gain their first victory of this year’s Six Nations when they do battle in Marseille on Friday night.

Prediction:  Although les Bleus are fielding a much-changed matchday squad, they will still prove too strong for the Azzurri. France to win by 12 points.

Ireland v Wales

Preview: Wales will be looking to keep their Six Nations hopes alive when they travel to tackle Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday.

Prediciton: Should be another tight affair. Ireland by five.

Scotland v England

Preview: Can Scotland end England’s Grand Slam dreams and, in the process, provide a significant fillip for their own title aspirations?

Prediction: Gregor Townsend’s men go into the game far more confident following their victory over France, but the Red Rose know how to win tight games and have the edge up front. England by 6.
