Predictions: November Test weekend

We’re set for another weekend of thrilling internationals and here are our predictions for all the matches taking place throughout Europe.

The weekend’s marquee game has to be the highly anticpated encounter between England and the world champions, New Zealand, at Twickenham.

Wales’ Test with Australia should also be a good match-up between two evenly matched teams and the home side will be determined to get the better of the Wallabies, who have won the last 13 matches in this fixture.

Elsewhere, in Paris, France host South Africa, who are on a six-Test winning run against Les Bleus.

In other action, Ireland take on Argentina in what should be an exciting encounter in Dublin while Scotland host Fiji at Murrayfield and Italy do battle with Georgia in Florence.

NOVEMBER TESTS

Italy v Georgia

Preview: 2018 has not been a great year for Italy in terms of results, but Saturday’s clash with Georgia in Florence presents them with an opportunity to get back to winning ways.

Prediction: Georgia cannot completely be written off, having beaten Tonga earlier this year, but Italy will be hungry to put a victory on the board and should have enough quality to do just that. Italy to win by 10 points.

Scotland v Fiji

Preview: Scotland will be desperate to bounce back from last week’s disappointing performance in defeat to Wales when they host Fiji at Murrayfield.

Prediction: We expect the hosts to bounce back from last week’s poor performance at the Principality Stadium. Scotland to win by 12.

England v New Zealand

Preview: A year ago, many were salivating at the prospect of England facing New Zealand but it is now a vastly different story heading into Saturday’s game at Twickenham.

Prediction: The All Blacks will be too strong and, despite England’s resilient display last weekend, Eddie Jones’ men will struggle to get close. New Zealand by 15.

Wales v Australia

Preview: Wales will be looking to turn the tables on their traditional bogey team when they host the struggling Wallabies at the Principality Stadium.

Prediction: Even a wounded Wallabies outfit will always pose a tough test for the Welsh, but this time, Warren Gatland’s side should have enough firepower to see them off. Wales to win by five points.

Ireland v Argentina

Preview: Ireland will be looking to build on their thrashing of Italy when they host Argentina in their second November international in Dublin on Saturday.

Prediction: The home side will be too strong for the Pumas. Ireland by 15.

France v South Africa

Preview: France face a tricky assignment when they get their end-of-year Test campaign underway against South Africa at the Stade de France on Saturday.

Prediction: The Springboks will be highly motivated to return to winning ways and will take this one, albeit by a narrow margin. South Africa to win by four points.
