Player ratings: Garry Ringrose stars for Ireland
Here's our Ireland player ratings following their 28-8 win over Scotland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
15 Rob Kearney – Solid in defence and strong under the high ball both in defence and attack. Ran in excess of 150 metres. 9/10
14 Keith Earls – Not a game to remember for the Munsterman. Will be disappointed with his final pass at times. 6/10
13 Garry Ringrose – Showed no signs of rustiness. Slick feet and excellent side-stepping as usual. Lovely wrap around for Stockdale's second try. 8/10
12 Bundee Aki – Was a great foil to Ringrose adding physicality in defence and attack. 7/10
11 Jacob Stockdale – Two tries, the first a well anticipated intercept and the second showed a good side-step. 9/10
10 Johnny Sexton – Orchestrated things well as he usually does. Provided the usual good mix of variety and found his kicking boots following an off day last time out. 8/10
9 Conor Murray – Deserved his try. Did exactly what he says on the tin: excellent kicking, great partner to Sexton and a leader all over the park. 8/10
8 CJ Stander – His usual wrecking ball self in attack. Always prepared to carry and reliable in defence. 7/10
7 Dan Leavy – Relatively routine afternoon for the Leinster back-row. Carried strongly and was affluent in defence. 7/10
6 Peter O'Mahony – Average game by his standards. Wasn't able to utilise his skill set throughout the game thus limiting his impact throughout. Gave away a poor penalty but was influential in defence. 7/10
5 Devin Toner – Didn't have his strongest game and wasn't his pivotal self at the lineout; somewhat down to delivery. 6/10
4 James Ryan – Made a big lineout turnover which set up attacking opportunity. Poor knock-on in opening stages but made up for it with constant carrying. 7/10
3 Tadhg Furlong – Carried, carried and carried for an hour. His usual physical self in open play and defensively. 7/10
2 Rory Best – Some inaccurate early throws led to several turnovers but he became more assured as the contest grew older. 6/10
1 Cian Healy – The prop forward was a linchpin of the Irish scrum that gained parity throughout and defended well. 7/10
Replacements:
16 Sean Cronin – Scored the all-important fourth try from the back of a driving maul. 7/10
17 Jack McGrath – Still searching for his best form post Lions but worked hard following introduction. 6/10
18 Andrew Porter – No impact.
19 Iain Henderson – Good return from injury bringing his usual physicality. 6/10
20 Jordi Murphy – Carried well following his introduction and was important in the forward pack. 6/10
