Player ratings: Conor Murray leads the way for Ireland

Here's our Ireland player ratings following their 56-19 win against Italy at the Aviva Stadium.

15 Rob Kearney – As usual, solid at the back and although he set off on several runs, he made little headway and was hardly tested on defence. 7/10

14 Keith Earls – Was always looking for work and continued his fine try-scoring form against Italy. Also shone on defence. 8/10

13 Robbie Henshaw – Impressed on attack and was rewarded with two tries for his efforts. Showed a superb turn of speed for his second try before injury struck early in the second half. 8/10

12 Bundee Aki – Combined brilliantly with Henshaw and showed that he has plenty of variety in his game. Also shone on defence and scored a good try. 8/10

11 Jacob Stockdale – Took a while to get going but when he did, he proved a handful to the defence. Scored two well-taken tries. 8/10

10 Johnny Sexton – Looked dangerous on attack and was superb off the kicking tee. His decision making was also good and he brought the best out of his outside backs. 8/10

9 Conor Murray – Was back to his best and a deserved winner of the Man of the Match award. Impressed with his service to his outside backs and option taking. 9/10

8 Jack Conan – Had some good moments especially early on with his offload to Murray, in the build-up to the latter's try, particularly impressive. 7/10

7 Dan Leavy – Did his bit at the breakdown but didn't make much headway on attack. 6/10

6 Peter O’Mahony – Did well up front especially defensively around the fringes of the rucks and mauls where he put his body on the line with great commitment. 7/10

5 Devin Toner – Did what was expected of him in the lineouts and although he gave his all up front, spilled a ball in contact when Ireland were on the attack in the second half. 6/10

4 Iain Henderson – Delivered another committed performance at the coalface of his side's forward effort but this was a quiet game by his standards. 6/10

3 Tadhg Furlong – Lasted just three minutes before leaving through injury. Not on long enough for a rating.

2 Rory Best (c) – The captain marshalled his troops well and impressed with his set-piece work after battling against France last week. Scored a deserved try after another busy outing. 8/10

1 Jack McGrath – Stood up well in the scrums and caught the eye on defence where he put in a few big hits. 7/10

Replacements:

16 Sean Cronin – Continued with Best's good work especially in the tight exchanges. 7/10

17 Cian Healy – Not on long enough for a rating.

18 Andrew Porter – Came on for Furlong and delivered a solid all-round effort. Scrummed well and caught the eye with some strong carries. 7/10

19 Quinn Roux – Played a full half but hardly set the world alight. 6/10

20 CJ Stander – Another player who came on at half-time and, as usual, he made his mark as a ball carrier with some bullocking runs. 7/10

21 Kieran Marmion – Had big shoes to fill as Murray's replacement but did did a good job and combined well with Joey Carbery. 7/10

22 Joey Carbery – Continued where Sexton left off and looked creative on attack. Also kicked well at goal. 7/10

23 Jordan Larmour – Came on for his Test debut as a replacement for the injured Henshaw and delivered a solid effort. Set off on a couple of exciting runs. 7/10
