A 28-man Pacific Islanders squad has been named for a tour to Europe in November, featuring many World Cup stars and players based in Europe.

The side representing Tonga, Samoa and Fiji will play England on November 8, France on November 15 and Italy on November 22. It is the third tour undertaken by the Pacific Islands grouping of rugby nations, after earlier visits to Australia and Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

“The combined Pacific Islands side is a fantastic concept that provides us with a great opportunity to promote our particular brand of entertaining rugby in Europe,” said coach Ilie Tabua.

Tabua will be assisted in the coaching by former internationals Quddus Fielea (Tonga) and Peter Fatialofa (Samoa). A captain has yet to be named.
