Ireland skipper Brian O'Driscoll looks likely to be fit for the forthcoming internationals next month.

Leinster coach Michael Cheika is confident that Ireland skipper Brian O'Driscoll will be fit for the forthcoming internationals next month.

O'Driscoll had emerged as a doubt for the autumn Tests against Canada, New Zealand and Argentina after hurting his knee against Wasps in the Heineken Cup, but a scan on the knee has revealed nothing more than a twist.

“He'll definitely miss this week's game,” said Cheika in reference to Leinster's game away to Glasgow on Friday.

“But we reckon that he should be good to go for the internationals.

“We don't want to speculate too much, but there are no hamstring issues or any structural damage to his ligaments.”
