France have called Julien Bonnaire into their squad for the Six Nations game against Italy next weekend due to an injury to Imanol Harinordoquy.

Harinordoquy has been in doubt all week, having picked up an injury playing for Biarritz against Bourgoin in the Top 14 last weekend. With an injury cloud hanging over his head Biarritz pulled him out of this weekend's game against Stade Français.

This in turn prompted the French medical staff to examine the number eight, and after a scan it was revealed he had a slight muscular tear.

Bonnaire, of Clermont, who has won 40 caps and has already featured in this year's Six Nations, takes Harinordoquy's place.
