No Grice for Grenoble

Grenoble number eight Rory Grice will miss his side’s difficult Top 14 trip to high-flying Toulon on Sunday after suffering a sprained ankle.

Grenoble number eight Rory Grice will miss his side’s Top 14 visit to high-flying Toulon on Sunday because of a sprained ankle, it’s been confirmed.

However, Sunday’s match is likely to mark the debut of Grenoble’s exciting new signing, South African second-row forward Paul Willemse.

Willemse, 21, was signed from the Bulls as an emergency replacement for fellow-South African Naude Beukes, who is out with a groin strain.

He is expected to start alongside Hendrik Roodt with Ben Hand dropping back to replace Grice.
